I grew up in Arkansas City KS and moved this direction with work in the restaurant industry where my skills were fixing failing stores. In 2003 I met my husband Rob and decided to stay in Pittsburg. He is a Pittsburg native. Growing up I was surrounded by artist of various types. My great grandfather did wire work designing animal sculptures as well as life-size realistic birds with feathers on display. My mother excelled in oil and acrylic painting on canvas as well as China painting. Currently my mother does hand wire wrapped jewelry. At age 8 I started painting ceramics and by age 10 started learning the process to pour, clean and fire. By 14 I was offered to teach class at a local ceramic shop. Currently I work at Miller’s Profesional Imaging in the Finish department and sometimes help my husband with our plumbing business ( mostly ordering materials ). This gives me free time to work on my studio for my art and craft designs. We have 4 kids between us and 6 grandchildren. We love animals and live just out in the country but still in Pittsburg.
