At PACA, we deeply value the dedication of our artists, volunteers, and community members in making the ArtWalk a success. To ensure fairness and consistency, we have established the following cancellation and dispute guidelines. These policies aim to maintain a well-organized event and protect the collective efforts of all participants.
Artist Cancellation
- Artists unable to attend must notify PACA immediately.
- Failure to provide notice of non-attendance may result in disqualification from future ArtWalk events.
- Under certain circumstances, canceled participation may roll over to a future ArtWalk at PACA’s discretion.
Weather-Related Cancellation
- In the event of severe weather, the ArtWalk will follow a designated rain date.
- All standard ArtWalk policies will apply on the rain date.
- Due to the resources and efforts involved in event promotion, refunds will not be issued in the case of a weather-related reschedule.
Force Majeure
- If non-weather-related unforeseen circumstances (force majeure) result in event cancellation, artists will receive a full booth fee credit to apply toward the next ArtWalk.
Vendor Cancellation
- Vendors canceling more than two weeks before the event will receive a 50% refund of their booth fee.
- Cancellations within two weeks of the event are not eligible for refunds due to incurred costs related to promotion and advertising.
Dispute Resolution
- PACA reserves the right to refuse participation to any vendor, organization, or artist at its discretion.
- Disputes will be addressed in accordance with the City of Pittsburg’s legal guidelines, beginning with a discussion involving PACA’s board.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, mediation will involve a neutral party, specifically the Community Development Specialist of the City of Pittsburg.
- PACA is not financially liable beyond the fees paid by the complainant.
