My name is Crista Cunningham. I was born and raised in the ‘Burg and could not imagine raising my family anywhere else. I have been immersed in art my whole life. My mother was an artist, I am a Graphic Artist and Photographer, my daughter is an artist, and I am blessed to have many incredibly artistic friends!
I own and operate my own local graphics business, Crista Cunningham Designs. Some of my more recent clients have been Coconut Empire Forge, Mount Carmel Foundation, Pittsburg High School Performing Arts, Dick Horton Consulting, and the
Cincinnati Bengals. My philanthropic efforts reach not only the ArtWalk, but also PittNaz Church, and Pittsburg High School Band Boosters.
I was invited to join the ArtWalk committee in 2018 by my then new client, Alan Kirby after the creation of his logo (Coconut Empire Forge). 2020 will mark my second term as Vice-President of the ArtWalk committee.
Aside from helping to organize the events, I am in charge of marketing and promotion. I create the t-shirt designs, posters, and monitor all things social media. I also designed the most recent ArtWalk logo.
The overwhelming support of fine arts in our small corner of the world leaves me speechless. If you’ve been a “Burger” (haha) for long, you would know that this was not always the case. At some point over the past 10 or so years, art in Pitt became cool. The proof is in the thousands of people that spend a few hours with us twice a year, roaming our historic downtown, to visit with our talented artists, musicians, and performers.
I am so proud of Pittsburg and thankful to live in a town that loves and supports art the way I do.
